Rev. George Allan Bradley, Pastor

George is originally from San Antonio, Texas.  He has been married to Audrey for 44 years.  They have two adult children and four grandsons who live in Maryland and Pennsylvania!  George is retired from the U.S. Navy.

George has been in ministry since 1992, having served churches first in the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference, and, following SMU/Perkins School of Theology, in the Southwest Texas Conference at La Feria, St. Andrew's, Robert Lee, and now Nixon.

George's primary interest is spiritual formation, and for him that always leads to the love of God and neighbor as a disciple of Jesus Christ.  He is attending the Upper Room's two-year Academy for Spiritual Formation.  Apart from teaching in the local church, George is a Southwest Texas Conference Emmaus Board Assistant Spiritual Director and a frequent clergy participant in Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis weekends.  His personal discipleship in Christian mercy ministries (one facet of loving God by loving the neighbor) has led him to prison ministry (Kairos Prison Ministry International).  He is a member of the Southwest Texas Conference Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry, and the chair of its Campus Ministry Subcommittee.  George is also on the Corpus Christi District Leadership Committee, which develops and sponsors educational and spiritual events to grow the discipleship and leadership of clergy and laity in the district.

Ever the student who witnesses and teaches, George loves to share the Gospel of Christ with everyone and teach the content and grammar of Christian faith to whosoever will "get the ink of the scripture under their fingernails."

George loves coffee, and you will find him sharing a cup, and the content of the lives of all sorts of folks who show up and share, in many public and private places.  And he doesn't mind playing golf either...but his partners will have to walk and carry or pull their golf bag.

Audrey Bradley, Office Assistant

Audrey is also originally from San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated from Jefferson High School (and, yes, she and George met in high school).  She married George in his first months in the U.S. Navy, and she has travelled around the world as a result.  Her daughter was born in the Republic of the Philippines, and her son, Spain.

Audrey has worked in retail sales, the health insurance industry, the weight loss industry, and in many, many offices.  She is very good at meeting deadlines, is very good with computer records, is incredibly organized (she can also rearrange a room in nothing flat!!!), and may the most cheerful person with whom you ever talk on the phone!  Oh, yes, Audrey is also the President of the FUMC Nixon unit of United methodist Women.
